Gary Walton, an artist known for his oil paintings, draws inspiration from the surreal works of Salvador Dali. Initially a graphic designer, Walton turned to painting as a form of escape from his desk job. In 2004, he received a publishing contract which allowed him to pursue his art full-time. His style can be described as whimsical, romantic and cheerful with a blend of fantasy and reality. We share Gary's view of his work as it portrays unique stories, often showcasing the English south coast and its recognizable landmarks with a twist. Through his pieces, he invites us to explore familiar landscapes, buildings, and modes of transport in a new light.
