Born in 1986 and raised in Barnet, north London, Ben Jeffery developed a strong passion for art from a young age. This interest was sparked by his grandfather's introduction to the works of John Varley, a prominent watercolour artist from the 18th century who happens to be related to the Jeffery family.
In his teenage years, Ben Jeffery discovered his passion for art. Along with a few peers, he often engaged in friendly competitions to draw the most accurate portrait. He found great joy in presenting his artwork at school and observing his classmates' reactions. One of his standout pieces was a portrait of his father, which received praise from the entire art class during a mock GCSE exam.
Ben Jeffery pursued Art to the highest level of education, receiving ample guidance and advice over the years. However, he primarily developed his technique through self-teaching. While enrolled in Art programs at both College and University, he was largely independent in his studies. Tasked with creating a portfolio and transforming an idea into final images, Ben Jeffery received minimal instruction on techniques from his teachers, leaving him to learn on his own.
